Exactly! and this is supposed to be a technical section of the forum, about the MOKE bodyshell. Would 'Wierdwolf' please note that we have another section called Side Scream for things that are nothing to do with Mokes. If we have to put up with his blatant promotion of his kit cars (do we really have to?), perhaps he could at least put it in there.

I'm normally the first person to jump to the defence of Kit Cars but this bloke is beginning to seriously p*** me off

CKD = set of parts off the manufacturers tooling, sent for assembly at a manufacturer owned or licenced assembly plant. Vehicles may have minor local variations but have undergone the same engineering development as those built at a prime factory.

Kit Car = vehicle built from a collection of owner/builder sourced parts fitted into a specialist manufacturers body which may or may not have a resemblance to a mainstream production vehicle. As is the case with the Choke and this new 'plastic-fantastic', this is rarely done with the permission of anyone with a legal claim to the original vehicle design or name.

Werewolf, do yourself a favour - If you want anyone to take you or your kit cars seriously, take a history lesson yourself, learn to write and spell properly and come up with logical and sustainable arguements before posting ........ then go and post on a kit car site.

only with few changes due to homologation and GRP tooling
but the car will be really similar

also we are doing a conversionion to fit SMART engine with autobox in the back
so you have a RWD Moke!

Those would be 'Kit C*rs' then that bear a rough similarity to the classic Mini or Cagiva Moke? They are not Mokes in the same way that a Hunter or Dax Cobra isn't an AC Cobra A Moke is a Moke. A fiberglass bodied Kit C*ar is not a Moke.

Hi GPmoke, welcome to the forum... and one of the most hotly contested subjects in the Moke fraternity We don't want to seem agressive or anti doing things with alternative materials to make affordable lookalike cars, as long as people are honest about what they are.
Mokes are production cars made in BMC, Leyland, Rover and Cagiva factories between 1964 and 1993. In general, Moke Club members are interested in using, abusing, reparing and preserving those Mokes.
There is a place in the world for lookalike cars especially for those not interested in the aforementioned but want a cheap and funny looking beach buggy style runaround. That could even include genuine Moke owners.
Essentially, replica Moke body shell discussions would not effectively contribute to the benefit of the genuine Moke body shell section of the forum .

i prefer a Citroen Mehari solution but MOKE design

Why mokes stopped in 1994?

Mokes are still alive maybe just evolved.
Unless why fit discs brakes or radio on the original mokes??

Hi GPmoke, sounds interesting and a lot of work, will look forward to seeing it when finished, beach type cars like the Moke that are open to the elements and that leak like a sieve would be better off in good quality new generation fibreglass in my opinion, far less bodywork maintenance also......FF

Fair points GPmoke..... you have redeemed yourself, owning the real McCoy too Let's see how it pans out. Like I said, I think there is a place in this world for such vehicles, even for Moke fans Good luck with the project.
