Doug, thanks mate for posting,,,,,, I was thinking every had gone on holidays and left me here on my own.

Did you try M-parts? I've been in email correspondence with them over the past few days, didn't seem to be any issues.

The Minisport Australia panel is manufactured by Moke Panels in the UK, so Doug would be paying for it to circumnavigate the planet, as well as import duties into Australia and then into his home country. That said, its price isn't a lot worse than the 395 pounds plus VAT listed on the Moke panels website.

I have no personal experience of Leo's panels, but every comment I've read about them is positive.

A year or two back you could buy a Choke front panel, but I definitely would not not recommend the ones I've seen, for starters I don't think they're the right shape, but more importantly they weren't pressed, they were cut out of flat sheet in layers to make the stepped recess around the grille etc. They looked very un-professional.

My moke is an circa 1973 aussie model with intregal grill.

Is it better to just replace the front end with intregal grill OR get an Aussie front end with a removable grille?

If you only drive it and never have to service it then go for the origional look. If you have any sympathy for any mechanic working on it then go for the removable grille.

I'm pretty big on originality - you should see the lengths I'm going to with my Traveller restoration. I would never cut an intact grille out of an early Moke, but faced with your situation I would definitely fit the later Aussie front.
