seaking mk1 seat cusion and side curtain for a pattern.

Post by clm »

Hey all,

I am not in any way in a hurry to find one, but I will need one before I have my top made by a local company. I am looking for an old seat cushion for the mk1 steel seats, not so much intact just complete to use as a pattern for constructing a new set for my Moke. Also seeking one side curtain for either side also as a pattern so they could all be made in the same material as the top.

I will need these sometime in the next 3 or so months, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Chris, probably not practical to send you a cushion and side panel from my Mokes... bit far from the UK, but I am happy to send you dimensions or paper outlines of them with pictures to match the numbers with shapes if that helps

Patterns work as well :) And actually the seat cushion pattern would be all I need, My mk1 will be getting a very custom top from a local boat top maker at this point. Maybe later I will get an original hood to toss on it when I want it to look more.. original :) Though patterns of a Cushion would be nice so I can get them made up in the same material as the top.

I will measure up a cushion this weekend and get the dims to you Chris. As far as the hood goes..... I would probably still get a Runamoke one and pay the right price for a quality product. I should know.... my 64 Moke is the one Ron owned and used for the hood pics on his site back in 2005. It's holding out pretty well too :D

Thanks Janz for the dimensions, I am going to have a local boat top maker make a top somewhat to my specs. It wont really be very original, but I am putting in some interesting.. 'features'
