Do you have voltage at the Coil? use a meter or test lamp, does the Moke have a ballasted system? Usually a resistive cable from the ignition to the coil, reduces the voltage to 9 Volts, if this goes high, then the voltage reduces.

You will need the right coil to suit an electronic distributor. This is what I had to do. It worked straight off.
Which distributor did you get?

Who me? I'm no help, I have no experience with electronic distributors. The obvious things to check are that it has a 12V feed and adequate ground.

Well the distributor is in. :D

The Mini Moke starts. :o

The Mini Moke engine runs. :o

Dean - Thanks, the final adjustment of the timing is the next item on the list. :D

There appears to have been a couple wiring issues, including but not limited to a loose connection just below the ignition.
Oh had to replace the ignition switch as well.

Now to tackle the total rewiring.
Eldest child appears to have found somebody that 'might' be capable.

The more I look at the new wiring loom the more I think it should be fairly simple . . . . .

Doug. Make sure the fuel tank is, as near empty as you can. As you will need to take it out, to fit the rear loom, straight forward job, but the outlet is on the bottom of the tank. You will need a receptacle of some sort to catch fuel before you put some sort of plug in the outlet. I use a piece of fuel hose, with one end folded over and jammed into a small jubilee clip
