Unfortunately, my avatar is very appropriate at the moment.
Pomy camped on high ground and water all around. Our desert is flooded!!!!
Hopefully this will dry out in time, but I may yet be staying at home this spring.
As Spider stated previously, there are no guarantees on this trip, the weather having the biggest potential effect.

That was 2014. That was a British summer. Things have moved on!

The Simpson is one of the hottest, driest places, in the world.
That is, until the British threaten to turn up and all it does is rain!

If my tent bobs away on a torrent of mud (sand), where will all the snakes and scorpions hide?

Have you seen Simpson mud? (Spider, put up a pic of porridgey mud please)
Really not keen on the mud experience, not so good for castle building really.....
