All you have to do then is glue them together

Come on Nigel... glue is so like last century...... All the cool kids are using duct tape these days.
CLM, post up some pictures of the surgery once you have the panels in hand.

Re: New Moke Owner 1967 UK Little Wheeler in Oregon
I have planned on it, though maintaining 3 different build threads is somewhat cumbersome! lol
I finally figured out what I am going to do for my spare tire mount, I am going to use a front drum drive flange and build a smalll mount from it. I used a simple eye bolt to test it out, and I do like how solid it feels, my only concern with it is the small surface area right now that it touches and that it might damage the back panel if I replace it.
If anything it will hold the rim off the back panel preventing it from creasing it like it is currently... not to mention, I have plenty of spare drive flanges...

I'd have thought the spare was the least of your worries

Well, I am still waiting on the panels to arrive, and I wont need the moke torn down right away so I hyave been just going from one end to the other seeing what I have and what I need. Trying to mount the spare to see if I was going to need something ordered to do it was one of the things I did.

Re: New Moke Owner 1967 UK Little Wheeler in Oregon
Well I have taken large chunks of the moke apart today, happy that the engine ran so well I decided to tear it to bits. I dont think there is one panel on this thing without any rust! Yay Fun!
I started out by drilling the rivets out of the mystery plates on the pannier tops.. mooore rust! I wonder if anyone else would even touch this thing heh. The whole bottom of the load floor is covered in scale, that will be fun to clean up.
I still need to get the saloon out of the shop soon. More pictures for all of you.
Chris
P.S. is there any better spot in the forum for projects other then here?

The full title is, Mini Moke: a comprehensive guide to restoration. I had a quick look on Amazon and found a copy of the second edition (it's on the third edition now) on the first page

Just looked a bit further and it says the item is unavailable !! Of course you could always contact Roy directly, his details are in the latest copy of Moking (they should be, he is the editor)
