a bit more removed today....and put in first order for replacement panels for the ones that are not cost effective to repair.

so, the new panels turned up :D , all good apart from the n/s pontoon rear closing panel. it just didn't fit. but it's only metal, so fits now :D

rebuilt the head, lapped in the valves, we now have compression :D
so it looks like we will be keeping the 850 :)

It has been pointed out to me that one should be careful when removing rust from a Mini Moke.

One should always make atemplare from the existing area - just in case.

The reason being that when one removes rust from a Mini Moke you might not have any steel left :shock: :o :shock: :o :shock:

Good choice and plan..... 850s rool 8) I love mine to bits - sounds great, plenty of go in those little beauties. Have 1293 with loads of power and noise as well - still prefer the 850 :D

Looks like Moke is coming on well too. Like the comment - it just didn't fit. but it's only metal, so fits now.... I experience much the same when getting into my 64 Moke - just replace 'metal' with 'Jan' :lol:
