a bit more removed today....and put in first order for replacement panels for the ones that are not cost effective to repair.
looks like we're going to invest in a spot weld drill bit sharpener!!

rebuilt the head, lapped in the valves, we now have compression

It has been pointed out to me that one should be careful when removing rust from a Mini Moke.
One should always make atemplare from the existing area - just in case.
The reason being that when one removes rust from a Mini Moke you might not have any steel left

Good choice and plan..... 850s rool I love mine to bits - sounds great, plenty of go in those little beauties. Have 1293 with loads of power and noise as well - still prefer the 850zetecmk2 wrote:rebuilt the head, lapped in the valves, we now have compression

Looks like Moke is coming on well too. Like the comment - it just didn't fit. but it's only metal, so fits now.... I experience much the same when getting into my 64 Moke - just replace 'metal' with 'Jan'
