Yeah, maybe.........there's a lot of straight, angular stuff, and some areas you have to get covered first, before you do the major ones. Too bad it couldn't be dipped by the average guy.

Now, even powder coating seems like a good idea because of the electric charge and paint attraction, etc.... and all that........

One problem with powder coating is the fact that it doesn't coat evenly. The electrostatic charge is very low in tight corners so the powder isn't always drawn in properly. The more enclosed the space is, the worse the problem is.

And with the Moke flexing as much as it does, eventually, it'll come off in sheets.

Well, none of the body on this moke is powder coated. Just some of the suspension bits.

Today, more sanding, more paint. More shortly, then home soon for assembly.

Looks like you're not too far away from building on a freshly painted shell. Fun...
Remind yourself that it's fun while you're scratching your head trying to figure out how something is supposed to go back together.
Hoping to get mine out of storage in the next few weeks if you need any particular pictures. (Contractors are making a mess while bumping my garage out a bit. So, I'm holding off until they are close to done.)

Right you are - should be home in my own garage next week sometime! Can't wait! Damn my fingers and back hurt after sanding today! But I know now it's all metal and all solid!

Thanks for the offer on where to put stuff! This one was in pieces, apart, when I brought it home, so I may likely be asking more than one question like that! If you have any "assembly" phase pics
you haven't sent me, shot em my way whenever you get a chance. (and thanks in advance! )

In the mean time, ponder a newly painted wheel well! My body guru Ray wanted to put on Raptor undercoating stuff in here and on the floor - I convinced him I didn't really want that. We'll see - could always add it later.

That looks just super, nice job, I am impressed!

Now, first job before assembly is to put a scratch on it, just to get that part out of the way! :D
