another Aussie onboard
Hi Moke lovers,
I thought I would register my self on the forum.
The name is Mavro, and I'm a moke lover thru and thru.
I have a 1975 aussie moke in pieces on it's side of my garage.
she is getting a full restoration, not that it had much rust, as she only had 27000km on her.
bought it off the first owner last year, she only drove it to work every now and then.
I trying to make her a bit special, as I am widening the side boxes and guards by 45mm per side.
I all so run a small Facebook page dedicated to mokes called " Mokes Australia "
you are more than welcome to join...and help spread the moke love.
I hope we can have some good moke chats..
cheers
Mavro

Hi Mav, welcome.....
In which corner of your continent are you? And don't say the same place as Spider as we all know that what goes up must come down!
Give us some suggestion as to quite why your sides are to be 45mm wider, is it to accommodate middle age spread?
Best regards
Roger G

Welcome to the forum.
As you rebuild take plenty of pictures. You won't regret it.
Please post some of them here, even some of the Mini Moke in the current condition.
Good luck with the reconstruction.
Please tell us why you intend to widen the side boxes and guards on the Mini Moke by 45 mm on each side?

I am widening the side boxes and guards as I have 15 inch wheels going underneath her.
and they stick out of the guard by 50mm. so to keep the moke looking original, I'm widening the hole moke.
it's a lot of work, just for a set of wheels, but it keeps me busy and I'm making it my own.
when it's done, you wont even see it, unless you put a standard moke next to it.
like me, gotta be different
