An English Project

Post by Naamen »

Hi
i have started a hopefully a not to long restoration (famous last words ) on my MK 2 68 English Moke, during down time i have been trying to find out as much info as i can on said Moke, the earliest keeper change i can find is in 1989, i purchased a heritage certificate which seems to conflict with my own & DVLA records??
the records i have show the moke was built at Longbridge in January 1968 & registered as a RHD in the uk on Feb 15th 1968 on the registration plate it still has,
the Heritage Cert. states it was built at Longbridge in January 1968 as a RHD for Export to the Bahamas & Exported on Feb 1st 1968,
i can find no evidence of an Export or Import, is there any where else i can search for info? as i am going through alot of sweat & bruised knuckles to get the Moke looking Awesome & would feel i would be letting Moke down if i didnt at least try to get its history correct,
thanks for your time
