RC Moke racing

Post by Weske »

Hi,

We have the space on the IMMM for a small RC racing. So bring your remote control Moke, en enjoy the fun. You can also use it for the static show if you are fast 8)

If you have a photo of your RC Moke, please post it here already.

Regards
Wesley and Anja

Great idea, Wesley!

Will post some pictures as soon I have finished it!

RC Moke is getting there. Almost ready... but not quite. Having lots of fun with it though. Need to paint grill, wheels and bumpers and fix screen and frame. I might end up concentrating more on preservation than winning the RC race. Let's hope other RC Mokers will drive like Granny too

Update (technical) on the Project "M" forum.

Hi,

I think we should talk about the frequencies of our remote controls for the race to avoid any interference problems!

Let´s start a participant list:

Daniel: 40MHz FM at channel 91

Think mine is just the cheapo 27 MHz.... just checked, it is 27.145 MHz. Not sure what colour flag that would be  it's in an old Sanwa Saber Dash controller from the late 80's

Just checked again http://www.ukrcc.org/27mhz.html 27.145 MHz is channel 19, and is a yellow flag (sorry Wesley and Daniel) I will try and get a 27.195 crystal which has a green flag 8)
Have a spare 26.975 MHz (black) in case of interference

I do find that this is very limited , so therefore you should be letting in other cars, UNLESS of course we are going to produce these shells ourselfs

Well Chris, if you promise to come to IMMM2013. I will get my King Tiger finished, and we can have a race. I have laid the gauntlet down, will you pick it up?

Hi Graham,
No use racing with my Tiger ! as I fitted it with extra reduction gears to make it more 'authentic' which it does and it now goes as slow as the Moke!!!
So will have to decline picking the gauntlet up, apart from the fact that Luxembourg is rather a long way!
my seats are definately not as comfy as yours look, mind you will you be trailering yours over?
Cheers
Chris
