Christmas Get Together - January 11th 2014

Post by Dean »

I'm posting this on behalf of Kate Hall.
I know this is technically a 2014 event but am posting it here (in 2013) as well.
Dean

As September is nearly upon us and venues will be getting booked several of us have come up with an idea to have our Christmas get together in January, the reasons being are

Venues are not so busy so you get better service
People have lots of committments before Christmas with work functions, family get togethers etc
It gives us something to look forward to at the beginning of the new year

I have provisionally booked the following and so need expressions of interest as soon as possible to make a definite booking for the restaurant

11th January 2014 (Saturday)
The Forest Lodge Hotel and Restaurant Edwinstowe,Notts
3 course meal with coffee for approximately £25.00 per person
This pub/restaurant has been voted the best in Nottinghamshire for the last 3 years running

They have 12 rooms at a cost of between £80 and £90 per room per night

There is another Hotel in Edwinstowe (5 mins walk from the above) and they have singles starting at £42.50 per night and twins at £65.00 per night

All room rates for both hotels are per room and include breakfast

If people are interested in doing Christmas with a twist can they please let me know as soon as possible

Thank you

Kate Hall

Hi Kate,
Great idea, gets the event away from the Christmas rush, place looks great also. Put me down for two, not sure about staying as we are not that far away.
Cheers

Hi Kate. works for us, as I only just made it last year due to working the whole weekend. A brilliant idea, put us down fo it and a room at the venue.

Sorry but you will have to count us out. Its the weekend that we move and that cannot, unfortunately be changed. I also have reservations about a Christmas party in January. I have attended two of these in the past and in my opinion the atmosphere is not the same.

Hi Garry
No problem with coming along, that would be great.!
Let me know if you want to stay at the venue and I will pop up and book you in.
Will e mail you menu selection when your better half has decided..... and then if you can get this back to me as soon as possible and post me a cheque for £25.00 per person that will be brilliant.
Cheers,Kate
