6 wheeled moke

Post by Rupes82 »

I've just inherited my fathers 6 wheeled moke. It's an orginal from the TV show the prisoner. He has spent years restoring it but it still needs a little more work done. I don't have time to do the work so want to see it asap. Car is in Essex. Let me know if you're interested and I can send info and photos. Thanks!

Hi Rupes82, we'd love to see some photos.

I didn't think that any of The Prisoner Mokes had six wheels, did it get them later?

Unless he means it was used in the production of The Prisoner as a film crew car? They used 6 wheeled Mokes in various TV series in the 60's and 70's.

That would make sense as the road were small in that village and a Moke would have made a good camera car.

Hi there, I'm not too sure where it came from! I'm back with the car this Sunday so will take a load of photos and dig out the documents for you.

Many thanks

There's no need for a PM. Your pictures are in the gallery, and can be inspected there , looking at them it's a scamp not a Moke I think.

Yep, it's a Scamp which they started building in 1969 (The Prisoner filming stopped in 68).
