Hello Everyone
I have a 1965 Moke for sale,
It's the oldest Moke in existence being number 16 off the Longbridge production line.
It is completely original and unrestored condition, but by no means a basket case!!
this is a great opportunity to own a collector's piece and a great piece of Moke history!
Photos are available on request.
I would be looking at any offers in the region of £15,000
Many Thanks

Sorry to disappoint you but your Moke is not the oldest surviving Moke in existence but rather the second oldest surviving Moke. The oldest surviving Moke is 6 days older than yours.Lee Pace wrote: It's the oldest Moke in existence being number 16 off the Longbridge production line.
ATT 40B with chassis number 604305 was manufactured on 25th June 1964 and is still alive and well, taxed and on the road. Yours is chassis number 604309 and was manufactured on 1st July 1964. Technically I suppose you could say yours is the oldest surviving Austin as ATT 40B is a Morris.
Nonetheless it's a great survivor. Roger

ATT 38B was on display at the IMM in Kent last year, were does this one fit into the 'oldest' Moke list?

Well ATT 39B was number 35 off the line but without the chassis number we can only guess when ATT 38B was made, as they have similar numbers they were probably all Barton cars so could have similar dates.Wally2 wrote:ATT 38B was on display at the IMM in Kent last year, were does this one fit into the 'oldest' Moke list?

According to my records ATT 39B was in fact number 34 off the production line.Manicmark wrote:ATT 39B was number 35 off the line
ATT 38B and ATT 39B were both manufactured on the 6th July 1964, but ATT 38B precedes ATT 39B by one digit and has chassis number 310306.
Amazingly, seven of the nine Devon Fire Brigade Mokes in this sequence still exist
