MK 2 English Moke wheels?

Post by whee »

Are these the wheels a Mk2 English Moke would have had?
http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... 0catalogue

If not, what wheel would it have had, and are they still available, or do I need to look second hand?

Thanks!

Those are Mini Cooper wheels, the Moke had standard Mini wheels which were narrower and didn't have the holes around the perimeter of the wheel centre. Those wheels should fit, but they aren't original.

The correct wheel looks like this. This picture is from the Mini Wheel Dictionary https://www.wheeldictionary.net/

This style is known as LP888, the original part number was 21A881. I believe they are only available secondhand, but they were common to non-cooper Minis in the '60s. The 1970s version is similar enough that you wouldn't notice the difference if you could only get them.

They are quite difficult to find here in Australia, they were destroyed in their thousands by being used on boat trailers.
