moke wanted

Post by speedycooper »

I'm very keen to acquire a moke. LHD or RHD, a wreck or a runner. All options considered

I'm based in the UK. I am looking to use the car in Europe so will eventually require LHD. I think I am most likely to buy a 'good project' vehicle at the right price that will allow me to finish to my own specification.I can convert RHD to LHD if required. I would prefer an older uk vehicle or calvia moke.

What part of Europe are you planning on using it in?

Hi, if you are looking at Mokes for use in Europe, and intend a move to France, avoid Australian Mokes, as they where never homologated for France. The only Mokes for use in France are English and Portuguese.

Thanks for the advice. I am hoping to register the car in the UK and use it for trips in France and Spain.

The best one to go for then would be an Aussie, with a side fill tank because it carries more fuel and get one with the 1275 engine. We drove to Portugal in an '81 Aussie with a Puck caravan on the back, no problem. Happy hunting.
