Travel Arrangments

Post by flyboy »

Hi Folks ,

With the IMM approaching I thought a brief outline of the travel plans would be in order.
There is a campsite just outside Dover called little satmar .
The intention to meet there on Wednesday evening and catch the ferry Thursday morning around 11am ,Only 170mls to Lommel .
The return will on monday catching a ferry around 2-3 pm.

Hi, to all my fellow IMM Moke friends.
Just to give you all an update, ferry crossings for 2016 are available to book now.
We have booked the following crossings
12th May Dover to Dunkirk 10.00
16th May Dunkirk to Dover 14.00
The cost for the Moke and two people at the moment is £88.00
I think this will be quite a popular crossing and I have already been made aware that the Hull to Zeebrugge for those wanting to travel this way is almost full for the night of the 11th of May.
Our plan ,for those with a bit of travelling to do in the UK, is to stop at the Little Satmar camp site for the night of 11th May so we can make an early start on the 12th.
Also please note that currently IMM tickets are 67 euros until the 15th of December, rising to 77 euros after that. You need to book these tickets direct with the IMM organisers on line.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend IMM 2016 so that we can all meet up together for the event.
Look forward to hearing from you
Stephen.

Hi Tina,
Yes it is DFDS, we thought Dunkirk was better for arrival etc as it is closer to the Belgian border
See you soon

Just finalised our arrangements. We're sailing overnight from Hull to Zeebrugge on Thursday 12th May then staying 4 nights in chalet at Kempense Meren ( followed link from IMM page). We sail back again overnight on Tuesday 17th.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again
Regards Aubrey and Helena.

Hi Graham and Judith yes driving the moke to Hull then dinner bed and breakfast afloat. The drive up to Hull is much easier from here than down to Dover. The crossing is more expensive but once you factor in overnight accommodation in Dover, mileage and hassle there's not a lot in it. On a roll this afternoon just booked guest house in Falmouth for the National at the end of July.
From memory you two are heading to warmer climates soon. Enjoy
