Re: Castle Combe - Miniworld Action day 27th September
The tickets have arrived. 20 of them....... I think we now have 15 Mokes on a 20 car pitch. I can buy extra reduced price entry tickets for passengers. I will get 5 @ £12 each - first come first served.... There after, they are £15 on the door - still very well worth it I think.
I will ask non campers to join us for the 'set-off' at 10:00. It would be great to arrive on mass. Those that wish to arrive later will have theirs posted to them - although, I would really like as many as possible of us to arrive in convoy - after all, we ARE the most important variant there!!
I will see if we can get a shelter picthed on Friday afternoon - Flyboy - please bring yours. I will bring South Central's. That's one for the camp site and one for the event. Need flags too!
On Friday, I think we will do the usual - feed yourself in which ever way you like. The pubs are great - recommend the George and the Sign of the Angel in terms of quality and budget on an escallating scale. Not been to the Red Lion, but previous years comments say it's good as well
Saturday - If all are agreed, I can book the back room with the big table at the George again - suits all budgets and pallets. I will email individually.
Sunday - International Moke day.... I have had many requests from the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in Quemersford. I propose we go there and then find a suitable watering hole... let me know your thoughts

"Tickets": I will try to please as many as I can - the worst case scenario is that the passenger ticket will cost £15 on arrival, instead of £12 so not the end of the world. There should still be time for CC to post them in time.
Can I have thoughts on the meal on Saturday? I must book ASAP. Today was madness here, so will mail in the morning, but if you already know - post it here just in case...
TTFN,
Jan

Hi Jan. Me and Judith for the meal, sounds good, in a private dinning room. With regard to Sunday. The Attwell Wilson would make a good photo opportunity for IMD.

Hi Jan
You can put Kate and myself for the noshup on Saturday.
Got a bottle of Monkey shoulder weighing the motorhome down .Might need some help removing it.
Would also like a passenger ticket for Castle Combe too, thank you
Stephen.

The big room at the George Inn in Lacock is now booked - 19:30 for 20:00 - but that's (slightly) flexible of course. Arrive earlier, more beer, arrive later, less beer!
Based on the number of people present on the Sunday, we should be able to park 10 Mokes outside the pub this year!
At present, we have 16 Mokes, plus a new shell on display - and maybe even whatever Gijs is bringing with him....
I have been speaking with the circuit about more passes for passengers and unfortunately, they cannot issue any more at the reduced rate as the pack has already been sent out. With the 20 we have for the club, bearing in mind we had to book some time ago, I didn't imagine we would be actually filling the whole area - that's a good thing - I presumed we would have several spares. Anyway, the difference to the 'on the door' price is only £3, so it's not the end of the world. Remember to have your £15 ready. We can 'raffle' any spares of the first 20 (likely to be only 2) at their face value... see below:
That just leaves the driver and car cost. The large pitch cost £100 (bargain I say) so for 20 tickets, that makes them £5 each. Hope that won't break the bank
See you there,
Jan
