London to Brighton Mini Run 22 May

Post by chris naish »

Ok, Ok, I know as I'm doing this it's just after Bonfire night, but I've had the application form for this event drop through my letterbox....and the entry form has to be in by, wait for it....7th JANUARY!!
This is, as many of us know, a really great event, with free camping at Crystal Palace on the Saturday, and a lovely meander through the Sussex countryside to Brighton seafront, where we have our exclusive parking area...all you have to do is send me reg number of your moke, 'T' shirt size, a cheque to the Mini Moke Club for £30 and a large SAE, and I'll do the rest! This must be the most over subscribed event of the year....so GET IN EARLY!!!!
Looking forward to receiving your application
Chris.

Greetings All!
Don't want to harp on about this event....but I'm posting this as the weekend is on us....and hopefully will attract some 'only look at the forum at weekend' members..who I've not contacted about this run. I've got to enter our application on 7 January, not long now, just get Christmas out of the way! But I've had 15 applicants at the moment, and I'd hate to say that the deadline has gone to anyone who is normally used to considering applying at the start of February!!
Cheers all!!

Chris, As normal, Tina and I will set up the Moke Club stand and parking area from about 7am on the day and look forward to as many members as possible. Those that cannot make the run will still be able to park on the stand, provided they let me know they are visiting and are in before 11.30am. Hope for good weather as it is normally a great day with plenty of stands and events going on.

Do they do XXXXL T-shirts? Just borrowed my sister's garage to park the old girl in (Moke, not sister, that is).

Chris,

Thank you for the email.

I'm in for the run but stuck on the IoW without my chequebook, so can either bank transfer to you or it will have to wait until New Year.

Hope that's not too late.

If you have a look at the origional post from Chris Naish you'll find all the contact and other details but as it says entries have to be in by 7th January I think your chances are pretty slim
