Hi all, The Harper clan are toying with the idea of making this our first overseas trip. What advice would people offer?

Just do it, make sure you have European recovery and breakdown insurance, do your research on best method of crossing, if you are bringing the Deluxe Harper Camper. You could always travel down with Flyboy, he leaves on Wednesday, stopping in St Omer and then we are meeting up and travelling to the campsite.

Hi Simon, also make sure you have the NHS Health Insurance Cards as well as some holiday insurance and your passport!
It will be my first time 'over there' with the Moke as well
Plenty of sunshine could be useful if you can take some from Yorkshire! :D

I've tried sending a booking request to them ( already booked the ferry etc) but as of a week later I've not heard anything back from them!!! Are they still taking bookings or do we have to find somewhere else?

Hi Nigel,
I had no problem with my booking request, try calling Silvia or e-mailing her direct.

We are doing the Tunnel, last time we went on a ferry we spent 12 hours grounded in Calais.

Does this alleged campsite actually exist? I only ask as all my emails are going unanswered and the phone number above is unrecognised.....looks like I'll be trying to get a refund from the Chunnel or booking a proper campsite
