Re: Welsh Weekend Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th September
Hi all just a quick update on this year's Welsh Weekend. Although restrictions in Wales are being lifted more slowly than in England the event can still go ahead with us gathering at the site just outside Caernarfon on Friday 3rd September. Site details are on the forum. Fish and chips on Friday as usual although its unlikely we will all be able to sit down together for a meal on the Saturday evening. More details to following. Please let us know if you're planning to attend either via fb, the forum or email. Look forward to welcoming lots of mokes and mokers to Wales once again.
Take care all
Aubrey and Helena

Re: Welsh Weekend Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th September
Hi all, we visited Plas Gwyn Caravan Site today re the Welsh Weekend. Spaces there are now limited with only 6 tent pitches, 2 motorhome pitches and one timber tent still available. Richard Crowe has already indicated that local B&B accomodation in the area is booking up fast. If you have not booked anywhere and we like to join us please make your arrangements asap. We've spoken to local chippy who are happy to take bulk order from us for Friday night. Can people let us know via forum, email or telephone (details in club magazine) by 25th August please what you want us to order for you. We're still exploring the possibility of having a meal together on Saturday night but if this is not possible we'll provide info re local restaurants and takeaways. Masks remain mandatory in certain circumstances in Wales and this is still likely to be the case in September. Caravan site ask that visitors take a lateral flow test before arriving. They do not ask you to report the result to them but ask that visitors follow government guidance on this. Arrangements are in hand for drive outs over the weekend. As ever we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Wales. Stay safe everyone
