Hello!
Bought a flood damaged AMC Cub. It's the red one from the recent sale brochures and the website.
Going to completely strip and rebuild it and add a few personal touches.
I know it's not a true moke, sorry about that
Then....
Now....
Edit: posted same picture twice

You've certainly made a good job of it, I can't tell the difference between before and after

Greetings, interesting that you say this was flood damaged. I know a little bit about this one. In that it was on a long term loan. But the guy that was running it disappeared and I lost contact with him. I was offered it to buy. Did you buy it from Charles Anderson as this was his demo. I have the magazine it was featured in.
What are your plans?

Re: Hello from Norfolk England
This was sold by Charles to another private owner. It was left outside in all weathers (and a flood) until it was passed on to another owner who runs the scamp owners club.
I wasn't told about any flood damage and neither was the guy I bought it from but this became evident when I stripped it down.
I'm going to have fun with it, silly wheels, massive exhaust etc etc. There were so few of these cars made that many have some kind of 'special' build status. This means little to me with this one and the angle grinders already out of the box

Re: Hello from Norfolk England
The guy I knew kept it outside, it was on loan but there was an issue with taxing it so it just sat doing nowt. It fits that it was sold to someone in the scamp club as he was active in that. I'd be Iinterested to see what rot issues you have as these are mega solid. Mines supposed to be the oldest known, made and registered 1986. Not a hint of rot, what I found is the measurements are pretty spot on to the original and I was lucky with moke panel fitment.
Please post your updates as I for one would be keen to see it.
I think there is a few cub owners in the moke club but not all have come out of the woodwork
If you need any assistance give me a shout, happy to share knowledge. ..
