In that vein I made an interesting discovery today. The laygear shaft has a retaining piece to stop it falling out, I discovered this after spending 10 minutes bashing the end of it in an attempt to fit a central oil pickup pipe. Once I removed the locking piece the shaft came out VERY easily (in two pieces!) :cry:

On the other hand all is OK - it's my sons gearbox we were working on :D

'twas on the way back from the Spanish IMM - I stopped at a roundabout and he (asleep at the wheel) didn't :roll:
Luckily I was towing a trailer
Unluckily it was fibreglass

We've still got a camping trailer with a cracked tailgate, A fact that I point out to him at every available opportunity

I've just seen one on Fleabay going cheap though - Time for some heavy hinting methinks :wink:
