What are you trying to do Dean, put the competition off bidding. It looks pretty good to me.

It was advertised on ebay once before.

What a lovely Moke.
It will be interesting to see what it goes for. It was lot 163 at the Coys Auction on 30th November. The estimate was £7000 to £9000 but it failed to reach its reserve.
It is widely known that it only cost Nigel just over a grand so it hasn't been a bad return for a two year investment.

What is the Exterior Option 'tuning' on the site it states:

Exterior Options: Tow Bar, Tuning

Nigel has it listed as 2 doors but unless he has sealed the back door it should really be 3.

Oh dear, you really are a sad lot. Yes it's for sale and no, I won't be giving it away. What it cost me is unimportant. It was available on this website for anyone to buy it. However, I think it is a very poor show to make that information public knowledge. As correctly noted, it may cost me prospective buyers.

It's what it's worth that counts. It is a wonderful Moke and well worth the investment. I'm offering it for sale because I really do need the space. It will also give me the impetus to complete my new English bodyshell.

Let it be known that Coys it not the place to sell Mokes. It cost me at least £350 to advertise it there. They are a waste of time although I was warned about that. All talk and no action, unless it's very shiny and earns them a fortune in commission, they're not interested. I think they spent less than 1 minute trying to sell it!!! It's fortunate that I can afford the money and the experience.

We'll see what it bids to. Personally I don't think the Reserve will be reached as the market is not strong at present. However, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get something really rare. I am very uncomfortable about offering it for sale. It may not happen again.

One thing is for sure, it's created a lot of interest. Almost 400 ad views and 45 people currently watching it.

Dean, I thought you'd got a life in Oz. Are you really so narrow minded?
Doug, we all know you need to get one. But you are right, it has got 3!
Tim and Smoke, you both seem realistic to me.

Nigel, I apologise profusely for suggesting your Moke was a kit car, I assumed (wrongly) that everyone would take it as one of my typically tongue in cheek comments as the car is obviously not a kit. I hope my post didn't deter any genuine bidders.
I will put my humour on hold in the future and get back to living my life over here.
Best regards and good luck with the sale.

Aah Dean, you fooled me. We need a smiley with its tongue in its cheek.

I guess it wasn't ebay, I knew I'd seen it advertised somewhere. Great little car with a fascinating history.

Seeing that there are apparantely a lot of 'touchy' and 'easily slighted' individuals on this forum, could you please clarify your comment as to whether I need to get a 'hard top Moke' or a 'narrow mind'?

I don't mind the former, but if you intended the latter I would consider that the comment was below you.
My comment about the doors was intended to be helpful and, my apologies for asking, but I still do not know what the Exterior Option 'tuning' on the site is where it states: Exterior Options: Tow Bar, Tuning

If you read the whole auction it tells you about the tuning.

Touchy peoples here

My question only :?: : why selling it ? I've seen it, talked to owner, has a great history and for me it would be a keeper for life. What's the space isseu for then ?

If i had the money, yep.
But not so sad but true, spent it with the wife to life happily.

Succes seller !

Thanks

"Original 850cc engine with Abingdon (Special Tuning) Stage 1 conversion"

I did a Google search on that and then came up with this link.
