I had a look at this moke for a friend.
The floor pan and bulkhead are shot, the engine may work, the front seats need redoing, it needs rear seats, along with a new hood, tyres etc etc and heaven knows what else.
The owner said that he had valuations in the region of three thousand pounds (equivalent).
Considering how much many beer tokens I put into mine I reckon that it would take about three thousand five hundred pounds sterling to get it into a reasonable road worthy state (this excludes the potential cost of a new engine).
Taking into account that after the basis restoration (NOT concours) the market would bear a little over five thousand pounds.
I would think that a realistic price in the current condition would be about three HUNDRED pounds sterling.
Is my valuation approach unreasonable?
How would you value a Moke otherwise?
