Beach boys Mini Moke

Post by kenbutterfield »

I have seen this Mini Moke in film footage of the Beach Boys, but here it is up for auction in the eighties!
Built by George Barris (TV and film car Kustomiser famous for the 1966 Batmobile)...I wonder where it is now?

Apparently there were a whole heap of them. Built for a competition prize by Capitol Records.

I reckon it is some sort of fake supercharger...which seems to be compulsory on Kustom cars of the period?
and I kind of like the stripey paint job!

What would one of those be worth now?

The four barrel bug catcher looks like 4 of those cups you get for mounting tachos, turned forwards.

I reckon it's a multi tone klaxon that toots the chorus of "Sloop John B" or similar...

How can they be tracked down?

Might make a good article.

Plus, and the owners be invited to join the Club.

Anyone got access to the registration list in the USA and able to search it?

PS I am not suggesting that anyone 'hack' into it.
