Post by arend »

Gijzzy sugested a more specific add, for he did not clearly understand my message. Hereby: I would like to purchase a six wheeler. Camera car would be splendid.

Hi Arend.... I think Gijzzy probably did understand..... but stating

is probably going to bring you as much success as saying 'I would like to purchase a flight on a rocket. Space shuttle (well OK, it's replacement) would be splendid' i.e. not totally impossible, but as close as....
If you already have a moke, you could modify it yourself I guess. I found this page with some alternatives.... ironically from a fellow countryman :) http://maximummini.blogspot.com/2011/09/six-appeal.html

Blimey that was quite a shock....me in one of the pics in a previous life as a youngish person...I remember the visit to Cars of the stars motor museum at Keswick very well.
Peter Nelson took us around to his mega garage/storage facility to inspect the UFO moke and it was pretty derelict as found.
This photo taken by Jean is one of many and it receives many "hits" on my flickr from folk searching for UFO, so no surprise there then?...ken
ps anyone wanting to replicate the nineties fashion in the pic of me can find similar at Vintage clothing shops!

Hey Ken.... sorry 'bout that picture making an unauthorised appearance. I'll make sure the royalties wing themselves your way  Anyway.... are you telling me I still reside in the nineties? What's wrong with denim shirts and grey cords? Wear mine regularly 8) Must admit, I do like the Magnum moustache though :D

Anyway, do you know of a secret or overlooked Six wheeler for Arend? I'll have a Buckboard prototype whilst your at it

The white 6-wheeler moke on the 2009 IMM in Longbridge was for sale, not sure who was the owner though or if it's still available.

A friend of mine's got one of them Stimson safari sixes.
The garage was too short for a full sized moke, so I just bought a Schmitt ;-)

Wot arrrrrrrrrrre you on about? Viva engines and single rear wheels.... I dunno, but do remember that if the rear wheel bearing on yer viva failed totally, the wheel could come off and overtake the car.....
