One of those days

Post by Doug G »

My Moke's headlights were giving a bit of trouble.
I got a chp to fix them.

I drove 200 yards away and the engine died.

The chap came along and determined that the electrical fuel pump had died.
You may remember that this pump is not that old.
However, I did have a new (less powerful) on at home :D and this was swiftly installed.

One strange thing is that the Moke starts immediately unlike having to wait for the carb to fill with the old one.
Plus the new one is silent, the onld one was like an old diesel taxi, tac tac tac when turning the ignition on . . . .

The old one overpowered the carb float, this doesn't.

I should have replaced it a while ago.
Having a moking good time!
