Factory Fitted Equipment ?

Hello Guys,

today I got the heritage "certified copy of a factory record". Great!
Moke is build 24 March 1966, Body Number 3718.
One thing I do not understand: art. 11. Details of Factory Fitted Equipment
says: "Front passenger seat, Less heater". I understand the passenger seat,
but wat means "Less heater" ? Should that be 'No heater' ?

Anyone who has a clue on this?

That is the terminology used in the ledgers at BMIHT. The wording probably comes from the standard Mini where the fitting of a heater may have been more of a regular occurrence. On the early standard Mini, there was a choice of a fresh air heater, recirculatory heater or no heater.

In fact, no English Mokes left the factory with a heater. Any heaters that were fitted would have been fitted at the dealership.

One more thing Rien. Don't forget that the body number that BMIHT quote you on your Heritage Certificate, is in fact the Commission number.

The factory didn't keep any records of body numbers for English Mokes. Roger

I gave it to the Heritage.
