Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

This was posted in Mini Mania Forum.
I am Matt Jones and Robin Jones (zippypinhead) is my father of 36 years. He was 61 years old, a grandfather to my 2 year old son Marshall, and a husband to Janet of 41 years. Tuesday September 15th around 8pm he passed away due to extreme health circumstances.

This is extremely sad news, we have all conversed with Robin on this forum and I was very pleased to meet him at the IMM last year in Kent.
His wit and contributions to the forum will be sadly missed.
RIP Robin, condolences to his family and friends.

That is really sad and unexpected news.
Robin has been part of the backbone of this forum for many years and will be sadly missed.
He was also the club representative for North America for a similar amount of time.

I'm very sorry to hear that, I had a number of exchanges with Robin on various forums and really appreciated his opinions and perspectives, he'll be sadly missed.

Tim or Dean, could you post a notice up in the Aust forum? There were a few people there who also 'knew' him and I'm sure they'd like to know.

It's taken me some time to engage in this post as I really cannot believe that Robin has passed on.....

I was lucky enough to spend 5 or so days with Robin around IMM 2014. I offered Robin my 1964 Moke to drive to the IMM with me in FUD and trailer. We spent a few days exploring Oxford before that and had some great laughs together, especially when we got back to Wantage and I took Robin to Oxford to pick up his Fiat 500 hire car so that he could explore other areas of the UK. Seeing the look on an American's face when faced with a modern car that offers barely more than a Moke was quite a treat.

Robin Jones, Sadly missed
