Didn't hear of any Mokes being brought in from overseas although there were lots of Poms there. Andy Whitlock had all three of his Mokes there (show off :) ) and Dave Margison trailered his Moke down from Cairns (nice local daytrip...taking the shortest suggested route on Google Maps is 2,638 km's...1700 Miles one way!).
I was tempted to attend (like I have been numerous times before) but it's still a 1500k trip from here.
We have the Tamworth Moke Roundup happening again next year and that is a lot closer for me (600k) so I may attend that again.

It did look to be a great and well attended event. We couldn't make it, though we were booked to go.

Chris,

The Moke 'from the UK' is Leo Jack's Red Moke. It is an Aust made 81 model, I think he sent it to the UK some years back where he restored it and did some mods to set it up for touring and then shipped it back here almost 10 years ago. It's been here ever since (it also got stolen and recovered some months later at one point!).
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

Hi Spider. I thought it might be Leo's Moke.

Hi Spider,
Thanks for that, thought it a long way to take a Moke!

Was Leo there? I thought he gave it a miss this time? Or was it just his Moke that made it?

I think Les "Alpine moke" looks after Leo's Moke in Australia.
