Help finding a Moke. Reg: OPD 209D

Post by AlexMeineck »

Dear All,

Cut a very long story short, I am trying to find a Mini Moke that my farther used to own.

He sold this car around 15 years ago and having looked on the DVLA website it appeared to change hands around 3 years ago. We where based in Surrey at the time.

I would love to purchase this car back and give it as a gift back to my parents to help them enjoy their retirement.

Please if anyone can give me information and put me in touch with the current owner it would be very much appreciated. My email is alexmeineck@icloud.com

The photo below was taken when i was very young, as you can see from the photo.

Thanks for reading this and i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Alex. Welcome to the forum. you could try writing to our magazine editor and get a note in the club magazine, as not all members read the forum. Also try contacting the Mini press and get an article in them, as not all Moke owners are club members or read the forum

I don't suppose you'll know the VIN number will you? Failing that, why not try the DVLA?

I might have tracked down the guy who bought it off your Dad but trying to confirm if it's the same Moke.
He sold it on some time ago but he may be able to tell you who the next owner was.
Did your Dad keep the Moke at a house on the coast somewhere?

Its fairly distinctive with its 'square eyes'.

Dean, yes he kept it at a holiday home in Poole before bringing it back to Surrey.

What else do you know? I have written to the DVLA but they will not give information for the reason i gave, being that i want to buy this car back etc.

Still require HELP?

I have now written to the DVLA but they will not provide the details.

Dean, yes my father used to keep it in Poole before moving it to Surrey so that sounds like you have a good lead for me? Any more help would be hugely appreciated.

I really would love to purchase this back, restore it if required and gift it back to him.

Any help would be great.

thanks
