Beach Boys Mini Surfer
Hello , I am new to this forum and I was hoping to get some more information on a vehicle. I have what appears to be a Mini Mike with candy stripe paint and surf board. I was told that it was made for the Beach Boys or their record company by Barr is Kustom-there is a Barris sticker on the windshield. Can anyone give me more information on the Mini Surfer Mokes? Are there any other Mini's out there like mine? I will try to provide pictures once I clean it up.

Hi and welcome.
You have an interesting Moke there. I don't know much about them but they have been discussed here before.

Very interesting if it is an original. I've never heard of any other survivors.
There's a bit on the Maximum Mini website.

What a great find.
I think this Moke is in all probability one of George Barris' Kustom Mokes. But I am not sure it is one of those that he made for the Capitol Records Beach Boys competition. Those Mokes had a red and white striped body whereas the one here looks like the stripes are black and white. Maybe the paint has just faded?
There was a discussion about the Beach Boy Mokes on this forum back in 2007 with some video of one of the Beech Boys Mokes at auction. You can find the link here
It's great that some of them still exist. Roger
ps I'm sure I've seen Chris Naish with some shorts like that.
