'66 Moke Roll cage?

Post by mab01uk »

Can anyone confirm what roll cage is fitted to this 1966 Moke and if/where they can be obtained/price?

That looks like the same model of cage I had on my 79 Aussie Moke (The Wheeler Dealers car). I was told Runamoke sold them and they were apparently manufactured by Safety Devices (http://www.safetydevices.com/).

Hi Martin,

There were no Factory Roll Cages or Bars available, even as a option, in 1966. The first of them being offered by the factory wasn't until November 1979.

There have been quite a number of aftermarket types in between though. Most in 1966 were custom types rather than off the shelf
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

Hi, that is exactly the same as the one I had on my original '68 Moke. Bought from Safety Devices.

There is a drawing of the Safety Devices role cage in my restoration book.

I had one made to the drawing for my English Moke as they are no longer available.
