Chaps,
I've now taken ownership of the Moke. 1968 model with a later 1275GT motor (another discussion sometime). Car is capable of a tidy speed but there has to be a stage where there's a risk of the windscreen tearing off it's not very robust mountings.
Is there a suggested VMax related to this issue?
Thank you,
Nick

Re: Windscreen - Suggested top speed
There’s plenty of 1275 engined mokes around and I’ve not heard of a screen collapsing yet. That said the addition of some Aussie or Portuguese type side screens would help support it if you’re really worried.
P.S. I’ve had 90+ out of mine and it’s still there

Many thanks Nigel and interesting to hear about your top end. I was regularly doing 70+ in the outside lane of the M40. Car also seemed very stable actually.
Plenty of thumbs up from other motorists too!

Good to learn that Mr Chairman.
It was good to have the opportunity to catch up with you for a few moments and I look forward to doing the same in Wales.
Oh, and to confirm I would definitely be up for Nurnberg next year.

Must be said having the hood up does make it a bit more aerodynamic

I find that anything over 120Kmh makes my eyelids flap too much to be able to see properly.
