re who imported the first mini mokes to the USA

I trying to help friend with patent /trademark name in the USA>. I heard is was Keenan Motors in Philly PA in late 64. and they imported FIDDY of them.in 1964. later bc

confirmed this with former owner of Berry Buick/ Keenan Motors in Phily.. sure was NOT Moke America or Mini Mania.. they wish.. later bc

Seems that Cagavi Motorcycle bought the name MOKE from British Leyland in the 80s and made mokes in Portugal and Italy for about 7 years.. and then Casti SPA bought the name and rights also in Italy.. I have the vin number today of the first moke imported to the USA> in 1964.. I will ask the owner IF I can post it.. later bc

Ok. guys. thanks for all the help.. according to BMH.. the first moke imported to the USA. was vin @ AAB1L717368.. to NYC.25 march 65. 2. was AAB1L717369 to Compton ( Cali) 27 March 65 and 3. was AAB1L71730 to Philly.. to Berry Buick on 27 Mar 65.. btw.. powers that be NUKED this thread on www.minimania.com . Seems someone there trying to say they imported this first mokes and mokes parts in 1965.. MM did NOT even start up until 1974,, and Moke America until 2016.. later bc

My Moke AAB1L817813 was exported to Philly on 27 Jan 1966, came off the line on 22 Nov 1965. It came back to the UK in 2006. It had two registration numbers while in the US 112 JOG and WEE MOKE, it is now JUX 180D. It was bought by San Diego British Cars in March 1987 for $50, worth a little more now!

I understand patent court will decide soon. if AGC moke / golf carts KEEPS their trademark in the USA..
