Benefits of a Mini Moke.

Post by Doug G »

For those that aren't aware, I have a circa 1973 Aussie style Mini Moke.

However I also have a Suzuki Vitara and one of my son's friends managed to lose the key in the sea (another story if you request).

So down to the Suzuki dealer. For your ease of reference £1.00 = EC$3.50.

Yes it is one of those that has an 'electronic chip' in it. Grrr!!!!

A replacement key is $2,023.00 plus $11 to cut it and $300 to program it.

I contacted the regional Suzuki Dealer in Barbados.
Key $241.00 I add FedEx $101.00 totals $342.00

OK I have to have it cut and programmed.

But still They local dealer gets it wholesale from the Regional Dealer.

Do you consider a x 600% increase/mark up reasonable?

I am so glad with the keying arrangement I have in my Mini Moke.

Have you had a similar experience?
Having a moking good time!
