1987 Moke £19950

Just seen this on ebay for virtually £20k.

I can see a few incorrect features , Rear lights, front indicators, no rubber side wheel arch covers, no parcel shelf , others may see more.
Surely at that sort of price it should be original spec?

The bonnet does not fit properly. On the side in the picture the joint at the back is much wider than the joint at the front of the bonnet to the bodywork.

For that price surely it should be parallel?

I notice that the front panel is 'English' ie no removable grille panel.
Someone was obviously trying to make it look older model than it is

Hi Nigel,
I seem to think (or someone with more knowledge told me) that the bonnet hinge 'loops' (the hinge bits that go into the rubbers on the bulkhead) are longer on later models, so if you put a bonnet with shorter 'loops' i.e. an English bonnet on a later Moke this is what you get?
