Heavily adapted Moke

Post by rien_naalden »

Hello Guys,

never seen a more adapted Moke as this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-MOKE-PRO ... SwQaJXRp6i

In details looks as a genuine Moke, but no standard subframes or engine hood hinges.....

Maybe some kind a prototype? They mention it comes out of South Africa.....

Anyone??

Kind Regards, Rien.

Someone has taken a pair of Austin 1100 subframes, nailed them to the bottom of a Moke then added coil overs because they couldn't work out the hydrolastic suspension. They then sellotaped some bits of steel to the sides when the originals rusted away and finally tied the 1100 speedo to the thing
It's the sort of "prototype" that you run and hide from

looking at the other cars in the photos, it was probably a container filler. Thought process probably went. Mokes are worth a lot of money, I can get it cheap, and sell for a good profit. Also saw no ID plates on it either.

I must admit it does beg the question we all hate to hear, although appropriate here: 'Did you build it yourself Mate'? !!!

Perhaps Doug could buy it and use the front panel as that the only bit that looks 'Moke'!
