Hi Ive just changed oil in my 1275 Moke (1990 unleaded engine) using Castrol 20/50.
Is Wynns (or similar) a good idea ?
I don't have any worries on gearbox or engine - is prevention better than cure?
Cheers
Richard

Re: Wynns -yes or no?
I just googled the stuff, and it seems (according to wynns)to be a miracle cure all.....reminds me a bit of the Wild West snake oil salesmen
Or am I becoming cynical?

Re: Wynns -yes or no?
I'd strongly suggest NO. Your gearbox won't like it and will break it down in short time, then the 'broken down' residuals won't do your engine any good. A good quality Mineral 20W50 is the go.
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

Hello Spider
Thanks for your reply.
Ive never had a lot of faith in these 'miracle' products but thought I would ask.
Oil replaced with Castrol 20/50 bought at IMM together with new filters etc.
Thank you
Richard

I have a chart, but short on time right now, I'll post it up later.
