New fuel tank conundrum - What's the knack?

Post by Slow Smoke Moke » Mon Jul 06, 2020 19:27

Hoorah!

New fuel tank from Moke Panels recently. Looks good. New sender unit, voltage stabiliser and fuel gauge too. All works when connected.

Except that the new tank won't fit!

It's the same length as the old one, the difference being that on the new one the pipe sticks out by about an inch. On the old one it was only about 10mm.

Having measured things the tank can't fit into that space with the fuel pipe being an inch long. It's against the laws of physics.

Do I shorten it or is it supposed to be so long and I'm just being thick (possible)?
