Re: Fuel Gauge replacement
ALA7334 is the type with the six screws around the perimeter, Doug's should be the lock ring type which was an Australian part, AYK2915. NLA as far as I can tell.
I'm facing the opposite problem with my Traveller. It has a very rare type of sender not used in any other Mini, and although outwardly it looks perfect, its not working. It shows open circuit on the multimeter so I suspect it has a broken wire. I'll open it up and have a look.

Re: Fuel Gauge replacement
I do have these available, yes they do look odd, but they do go straight in
Being mostly plastic, there's nothing to rust (like the originals do with modern fuels). These are set so that when the gauge reads Empty, there is still about 3 - 4 litres left, kinda like a reserve.
<edit: These suit the Top Fill, bayonet style retainer, as fitted from (about) 68 to 79 models.

Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

Your two hopes of finding one in Australia are John Smidt, "The Mini King", miniman@healey.com.au or ask on the Australian Moke forum.

Re: Fuel Gauge replacement
Clealrly its not bothering you too much.
On a long trip just reach over and stick your finger in.
You could probably fix it yourself.

Re: Fuel Gauge replacement
It would probably have to be replace it myself.
Trying to find one so I don't have to drill more holes.
The sender arm etc was corroded into an unsalvageable mess.
