Which carb?

Post by Tagus »

I am restoring a 1967 North American export Moke. It came to me in boxes of parts. It has the original 850 engine. My question is what is the correct carb for this? In the boxes was a HS4 carb, plastic air cleaner box and manifold to suit. I'm thinking this should be an HS2 and perhaps was updated at some point? Comments?

Yes, it would have originally had a HS2 and a metal air cleaner. You'll probably also need a HS2 Manifold.
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

That seems to be the general consensus from another board also. I believe I have parts kicking around to do it up with the HS2. Thank you for the response.
