An old thread I know but my 2 cents worth is never use Dot 5 where Dot 4 has been. If you really want to, you will have to clean every cylinder out and put in new seals. I don't think any benefits justify all that. Just change your Dot4 every 2 years (? half an hour if you take your time) and all will be well.

Of course if it's an entirely new system like the one above, fair enough. You can use Dot 5 or Dot 4.
