13" Brake Drums
Hi everybody. My name is Francisco i am from Portugal and arrived recently to the Moke world!
At present I have two very diferent Mokes. A 1966 Morris MK1 and a vey early1983 Portuguese still with 13" wheels. I do need your assistance please regarding the brake arrangement of the 13". As far as my recent knoldge goes It is similar to the Austalian spec but with 1000 cc engine and drum brakes. This is were my doubt is. It has rear cooper S drums all round (4 of them). The ones with the built in spacer. Is this correct? It looks ok but the weel studs are quite short with only a few threads for the weel nuts to use. Thank you for any assistance.
Cheers.

Yes, those are the correct drums, the ones with the 1" spacer.
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

If that's the case spid, the question should be " have I got the correct studs?"

Re: 13" Brake Drums
Thank you for your help. I do respect your opinion but it looks strange that someone in the past had the trouble to replace all 16 studs with the wrong(shorter) ones! It just does not make much sense! But...I will order longer ones.
By the way: anyone knows the lenght of the correct ones?
Cheers and thank you for the fast reply

A quick search of fleabay found this advert, perhaps it will help
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wheel-Studs-a ... 1360471520
The seller reckons that the 85mm studs fit the drums with a 1" spacer
