Roger,

Aust, especially in the Outback, is a Moker's Paradise ;)

Spider,
In the interests of science and technology (and finding out if my Moke is actually any good) I think it's only fair that you subsidise my shipping costs and air fare to this paradise of which you speak.

Yes, but for that you'd actually have to have it up AND running !

Nigel,
Stuff getting it up and running myself.... There you go, cheaper shipping in CKD form.
If Spider really wants to know what it's like, he can put the darn thing together himself ! Besides, I need time to do the tourist thing before we venture off to this outback place, I presume that must be an area behind his house or some such......

Roger,

I've now had a little time to look in to the fesibility of all this (ie finances and where I'd like to spend them), can't do much (well, truth be told, don't want to do much) in the way of freight and air fare, however accomodation has been arranged, but you'll possibly want some flee powder to put on the dog first.

Now, in regards to this CKD stuff, is that anything like Airfix Models? I wasn't much good with them, but quite willing to give the 4WD Moke a go, if it doesn't work out, a good friend of mine, Luke Parker will look after it;-

You've been on GoogleEarth again! Yes, the Outback is an area just a little beyond the back of the house ;)

Spider,
Now you're getting to grips with the way things work!
So, in reply to your points;
1/ You're saying you're tighter than the bulkhead door at the blunt end of a duck..... Your generosity overwhelms me !

2/ Hotel "back-of-the-garage" with Rover has it's discomforts..... Have you seen where I am at the moment ?!

3/ CKD like Airfix?... Yeah similar to Airfix, but without the sprue, without sticking your sister to the dining room table, and without getting Humbrol paint on the settee. Oh, and without some low flying Focker becoming detached from it's cotton and crash landing on your bed in the middle of the night.

4/ If you're willing to have a go, then pop over and get the spanners out ! I'll even let you sleep in the house, and Spot doesn't have fleas!

5/ Please bear in mind my first Ant (the gearbox donor) was scrapped off twice before I got it, it's well versed in the procedure now and can withstand anything you can throw at it !

6/ See, I knew the Outback was at the rear of your house. Well, it couldn't have been at the front due to the name. "We're just off for a trek around the Outfront" simply doesn't have the same call of the wild really, does it ? Unless of course you're four years old, on a tricycle, and will be back for tea....

Now, to sum up. You don't want my Moke there, if I pay my own way to get there your hospitality extends to sleeping with the dog, if all else fails you'll happily scrap my Moke off.
So, here we have a classic example of true friendship..... Bloody convicts!
