Moke or Moker model ?

Post by Nigel(no top)Sykes »

Just seen this (110183778153 ) on ebay - is it a model of the Chinese Moker or is it a copy ?
There loads more of them on , just like the full sized version floodingin from China

Its not a copy of the Chinese Mokes, its got most of the details right, just a bit coarse.

Whats wrong with the front badge on the Chinese Mokes?

Interesting that they use the "Registered Trade Mark" symbol. Can they do that? Do they own the MOKE name? If yes, there are some long-term implications to us as a Club.

They've registered it here in Australia, and also a number of other countries, I understand.

John from Minibits mentioned in one of his posts that Ming registered the Moke name in at least 40 countries. I searched a few databases but could only find their name on the Australian listing.

No, its got most of the details RIGHT. Ribs on the bonnet, side covers, pressings in the back...

To get an ® quickly, hold down the alt key then type 0174 on the number pad, then release the alt key. Or use the character map as Carrie and/or Phil suggest.

I quite like the term Moker, or Moke®

I've tried and I can't seem to get my r's in a circle! What happens after you've found them? What if you have a big r's..............or a tight r's? What if it simply won't fit into the space? HELP ME!!!!!!

I thought Moke® looked better than choke (or all those other names) used in the past !
