Restoration, is there a need for .........

Post by Steve »

While I have been rebuilding my Moke, I have had the need for what I considered to be obsolete or hard to find items, for example: UNF nuts/bolts/washers. UNF taps & dies. AF spanners/sockets. The list goes on......

So the question is:

Is there a requirement for a new section on the forum along the lines of a links page where if you have personally bought from a specific source an item that would be useful in restoring/rebuilding or just maintaining your pride and joy Moke, a direct link could be posted, hence saving hours of 'Googling'?

Thanks for the offer, but the idea was/is so members can have an easier access to the aforementioned items directly without having to post asking or emailing. While I have been rebuilding mine, I have come across a great many useful sites that may be of help to others embarking on a rebuild. I noted in the AGM minutes, Dean said that ' it has become a bit quite on the forum, it is active but inconsistent' could this be a way of increasing activity and passing on hints & tips?

Any views anyone?

Good idea Steve,
I've therefore created a new forum under the "Technical" section for recommending parts and services dealers.

That probably is due in part to my having exhausted my queries and also Nige not having a constant race of post and reply with me.
I am trying to get my level of posts up to 2,000, hope you are reading this Nigel.

That's just right Dean :D , however ......

Parts and Services
Recommend Moke related parts dealers/services here.

You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.

Maybe flick a switch in the background? ...... :?

Just one little problem Dean, I don't have "permission" to post or read the thing... Do you still need to work at it to make it live?
