#0000BF]Don't think so Dan (Stood waiting to be corrected ) I have been thinking along the lines of a hasp type arrangment painted to match the body across the cap with a small padlock. Any other ideas :?:

The large cap is the same as an early Landrover which also doesn't lock.

(wearing my anorak) I think it's actually a Gipsy filler cap that it's the same as ...... It'd make sense as both vehicles are from the same company

#0000BF]Borrowed Nigels anorak for a moment, early Landrovers I was used to had the large caps, but the tanks were located under the front cab seats and had a lid that padlocked over the tank and under the seat base. Anorak returned to Nigel

i spoke to mparts the yesterday about this, apparently the land rover one is the same diameter but uses a different location, the moke uses pins and i think the landy grips the rim.

they said that they did a mod for a customer in london by fabricating an insert brazed inside with the filler neck and locking cap off a mini hidden under the normal cap. i dont fancy brazing in my tank but it has been empty for three years now, tempted to make one and pop rivet it in though, im not so much worried about fuel being stolen as i am about it being lit or filled wit gravel or sugar!
