ride height
Hi all i was wondering if anyone could tell me the corect ride heights for front and back of an aussie moke before i start to search online as i have just replaced all four rubber doughnuts and have also just done a drum to disc conversion on the front end just waiting for a pair of longer track rod ends to accomadate the negative camber bottom arms.thanks garry

#0000BF]That would depend on wheel size, tyre size and at a guess cone or HiLo suspension ... But this was recomended as a right-ish height on the Aussie forum Gary, copied & pasted from there ...
'680 mm front and 720 mm at the rear .. It depends on what your after in terms of handling, clearance and to some degree ride quality.
When the front is at standard ride height, the driveshafts will be flat or paralell to the ground and the rear about 38 mm higher than the front. This can be helpful in setting the ride height is your running non-standard wheels / tyres. Just as having it too low is not good, so can having it to high. I like to set mine to have the drive shafts just off level with the road, with the lean down to the hubs so when you sit in it they should become level. The height varies depending on the tyre profile, wear and rims in use so it isn't simply a case of measuring to the top of the guard on each Moke, that is why it is better for you go by the angle or not of the driveshaft to the road surface.'
I have 13" rims, HiLo's and 50 profile tyres on mine, so I set the front so the drive shafts were level and it handles very well ... I still have to lift the back end up a little more yet, but I did find that it settles after a few hundred miles after fitting new do-nuts.

thanks that all sounds logical to me and i have also got 13"s on my moke. so i will do the same thing as mentioned set the car so the drive shafts are just higher at the engine end and the rear is 38 mm higher than the front thanks for the tips will let you know how well it works for me.
